Merchandiser - similar to Assistant Buyer

We are a recruiting for a large long established fashion company in the Manchester area.

They are currently recruiting a Merchandiser across production which is similar to buying on the manufacturing side.

You will be working with multi product ladieswear with our client base consisting of well-known high end UK fashion companies, multiples and e-tailers.

The successful candidate will be in a small team so there will be a lot of autonomy & responsibility. Experience in a similar role is imperative to be considered.

The basic key responsibilities will be:

·      Must have CMT experience to be considered for this position.

• Daily liaison with customers and Fabric Suppliers.
• Ideally experienced working with Eastern European factories.
• Fabric ordering
• Working to the Critical Path for both Production and sampling.
• Full understanding of Product components and costs (BOM)
• Good understanding of Fabric Test reports
• Highly organized with excellent administration skills
• Good team player
• Ability to multitask in a fast-moving environment
